The U.S. Capitol is the latest building to join Lego’s Architecture line of model sets. The series was started by architect Adam Reed Tucker (one of only 11 Lego certified professionals in the world), who started replicating Chicago skyscrapers in the medium. There are now landmarks around the globe available as LEGO sets, from New York’s Empire State Building to Dubai’s Burj Khalifa . The Capitol model is 17 inches wide and six inches tall and comprises more than 1,000 Lego pieces, including eight statues that are nestled inside the rotunda beneath the removable dome. It will be available for $100 in stores and online on September 1.
