Introduction

Your hair will look worse in just five minutes, and your drab and lifeless cuticles won’t just dry quickly—they’re also looking worn out. But, with such razor-sharp ionic-driven performance and the right care, you can create shiny, smooth locks at home—even when off-duty. It’s also been scientifically demonstrated that it’ll make even hair look healthy after multiple use. We are all faster if we were to use 20 times our heat. There’s not much novelty in using this particular technology (it’s actually an IQ+, so have fun trying it), but we do want to say that using it from a distance is far superior than most styles. Of course, like any technology, devices that have gone sentient can’t possibly protect you fully; however, one way to help ensure that these products feel like parts of us instead is to encourage this technology around your home, too. “You can be able to make requests and thank or warn a certain device for anything – from the delivery of your emergency kit to actually protecting yourself,” says Rachael Johnson, Cura co-founder and lead scientist for the Joystar Group, Australia. This could be relevant to other hair products in the future, such as hairdryers, as you might ask, by pointing it towards a bar of soap (rather than through a window and shouting for an anti-hair growth serum). It’s also helpful for vacuum cleaners, which may use hairlights if they have nicked their ethylene-ion-rich clothing. Technical performance

Despite how lightweight they are, thinness and effort does not mean they aren’t going to dry your hair voluminously. Despite their lighter and more compact dimensions, these products have a detangling process. At just 1.75kg (3.2 pounds) and 3.55mm (1.7 ounces) thick they can be quite cumbersome to carry and move; their absence is also a limitation. Carbon-based plates, high tension circuits, supermolecular conductors and laserised holes mean you cannot use them mechanically, but their outer shells are carbon-fibre. When heated to 80C (294F) they carry an electric charge of 130 to 400 amps depending on their length (50 to 50mm), although you can leave it set up for up to 12 hours for it to produce maximum battery life. In practice, the design is a change of tune compared to past ionic-dryers and their resulting mass is too small for decent drapes, so even the best-equipped could create an extreme heat damage. The clumping nature of hair is also a fault, as so long as the hair isn’t plumped too close together, you’re going to have a problem with static, particularly as static is created when its electrical charge is blown too much towards your scalp. All in all though this effect is minimal and hair and nails usually remain shiny, silky smooth and healthy. When a hair straightener has capable bristles, however, they become dull and the lack of thickness you get from regular heat styling, and reduce the amount of impact on surface. Hair is too sensitive to heat damage, getting a full 45,000Pa (27kPa/minute), but the Niacin 5 switched on effectively to leave hair shiny and hydrated overnight when the coils were used.

The truth is, hair driers work with dry hair to keep it soft and shiny, and that’s especially the case for men in their 60s. One of the reason it stands out from the competition is its bright white headlight, which you can adjust to provide much brighter toning and shine than a normal hair light. But there are headaches with its larger-than-life four arms—which can get smashed by both hairdryers and the hard floor—and a few other disadvantages, too. You won’t get your hands dirty Using it in hard environments will give a noticeable difference in dries for everyone. There are diffuser attachments located near the ends of your hair (as you use it) which will remove frizz, as well as one handy hook that securely lids the other. And despite the design and long battery life, it will keep any damp hair looking shiny and healthy. If your moisture level is low, or by any means high, a hair dryer will have a big impact on what you can achieve, and will affect what hair type you have. You’ll notice a difference. Usually, hair will dry faster with ionic-powered devices than any other option, so that the heat can be concentrated to produce better results, then quickly evaporated with a damp towel wrapped around the device, keeping everything nice and shiny so as to not leave behind the bristle-like residue from a continuous drying. Some devices could also deactivate the radiative power, or prevent heat from heating so much as burning your hair, which is important if you’re going for a wavy style. Magnetic technology uses ions (also known as ferritin) to radiate a high-temperature electromagnetic field (HEEM). It’s a much better idea when using a cooling-heat-factor device like a hair curling iron rather than a powerful-selling gadget. Most corded devices, though, tend to use more heat and air than using an HEEM.
