Less than a fortnight since Honor teased a range of smart TVs under the Honor Vision branding – more to be unveiled at an event later today – a certification listing has hinted that OnePlus wants a slice of the action.

A total of 39 model numbers, all described as “Unique Android TVs”, have been listed by OnePlus on Bluetooth SIG’s website .

Bluetooth SIG, or Bluetooth Special Interest Group, is an organisation that oversees the development of Bluetooth standards and any new devices that have a Bluetooth feature need to obtain a licence and certification from this group.

The listings suggest the OnePlus TVs will be available with 43in, 55in, 65in and 75in displays and that they’ll be made for the US, Chinese and Indian markets (denoted by the use of either US, CN and IN at the end of each model number).

We’d expect these TVs to similarly launch in the EU but this will require a separate Bluetooth certificate. The US standard approval also applies to the majority of Latin American and Caribbean countries, with the exception of Mexico, Brazil and Argentina, but the individual countries will need their own certificate.

There is very little else to go on – other than the fact the TVs will have LED panels – and we’re not sure what will make the OnePlus TVs “unique” but the large number of model numbers suggests the Chinese phone maker is making a significant play into this industry. It isn’t a major leap to assume OnePlus TVs will have features or use technology from its mobile devices either.

Honor teased its upcoming range of TVs at last month’s Global Mobile Internet Conference and is due to reveal more at its Honor Vision China launch taking place at 7.30am BST on 10 August. What we do know already is that Honor Vision will be powered by the Honghu 818 chipset, which is compatible with smart home products, and its TVs will come with a pop-up camera.
