Aby Rosen, owner of the Mies van der Rohe–designed Seagram Building, recently announced that the Four Seasons restaurant, which has called East 52nd Street home since 1959, will need to find a new address. The lease for the legendary midtown meeting spot—known as much for its iconic interiors by Philip Johnson as it is for its powerhouse patrons—will go to Major Food Group, the team behind downtown restaurants like Dirty French, Santina, and Carbone. Rosen will be a partner in the new eatery opening in the space, set to launch sometime after the Four Seasons' lease expires in July 2016.
Before the landmark interior is changed (“it’s not a museum,” chef Mario Carbone, a Major Food Group partner, told The New York Times ), we wanted to celebrate the space with one last look.
